OpenERP migration services v5 to v6

Service migration data source and code from OpenERP v5 to OpenERP v6. This services is not all automatise. We include server migration service and one OpenERP technical personal validating all process.

This service are available all modules our done suport and all modules Spanish localization.

Change license AGPL-3 OpenERP modules

We are pleased to announce that Zikzakmedia published all the modules have been developed over the years of the GPL-3 license to AGPL-3. This reason is because OpenERP SA develop a version privative of this ERP, we are forced to change license for the quality of these modules.

The difference of the license AGPL-3 of the GPL-3 is only one point: all modifications or improvements made by force should be published. For this reason, we stable code this modules from the original and don't get degradation of the quality of them.

The main projects of the change of license are:

Spanish localization. All companies will use the Spanish localization
ERP e-sale. Ecommerce tools integrated with the ERP
Training. Modules for schools and training centres
Modules developed our clients in the areas of sales, purchase, logistics, CRM and projects.

Training modules moved to new project and team

First versions of training OpenERP modules were developed by OpenERP S.A. and AJM Technologies S.A. An “special” version of the openerp-server was required for run this first version of training modules, so they could not be installed in an standard OpenERP server v5 or v6.

For this reason, Zikzakmedia created a training fork project some months ago. We have cleaned code to work with version 5 of openerp-server. Later, we migrated these modules to version 6 openerp-server.

This code was available in addons-extra of v5 and v6 respectively. We started only migrating 3 modules and now there are available 16 news modules (multishchool, dining-hall, e-learning app, ...). Also, in this time we have cleaned, fixed and added new features in training base modules.

Now, we think that a new community project is necessary.

Independent community project: Better visibility, everyone can access to project.
Any-person interested in training management could have permissions to publish (only few members can publish code at addons-extra).
Easily publication of code in a branch for testing new features, fixing, ...
One project for training modules to join efforts. Not a lot of branches scattered in different projects.
Having their own translations, blueprints, bugs, ...

Zoook. OpenERP e-sale

Zoook is e-commerce OpenERP App without connector. Forget connectors and errors. Your ERP is the same app at web; same process, same information.

Zoook is available B2C or B2B. One feature not available a lot of e-commerce is price rules are not same at ERP that e-commerce. You need to create new rules prices at e-commerce app and maintenance two or more rate prices. Same at stock, delivery, promotions... Zoook provides and integration e-sale and relation at client (CRM) or any model OpenERP available at web.

This e-sale app is written by Django. Use Pyro or XML-RPC protocol and OOOP (OpenObject on Python) and Paramiko libraries. Zoook is designed using JQuery (refresh price rules partner, confirm checkout, gallery product,...).

Available multishop and integrated new e-sale tools, for example, Whistlist (customer products like) for marketing tools.

You can configure countries, payments and delivery available to each sale shop. You can design payments related with Picking Policy, Order Policy or Invoiced Quantity (it isn't same cash on delivery payment or Paypal payment).

Remember, Django is SEO application and products and categories add new features to SEO. Also available Up sells, cross sells and related products.

Training Invoice Split. Split Invoicing Subscription

This new module family OpenERP Training allows a subscription and you will make split payments (one subscripcion = differents invoices).

This module replace default system invoice Training (a subscription = an invoice) and creates a new billing system:
- Invoice total subscription line (default invoice training)
- Desing Offer Payment your payments. After you will create multiple invoices. For example, every month, create one invoice of 20 euros, during 6 month (total offer: 120 euros). Date invoice you can design if it is date edition or date subscription.

Multicompany Invoice:
- Create one company (not need create accounts) and others companies need to parent it. Use default company training to management offer, courses and subscriptions. If you need make a invoice a another company, remember change company user, make invoice, and return default company training.
- Optional, Subscription and Subscription Line Sequence it's null company or change sequence default company training.

Email history in each partner with Poweremail

Normally you want to record the emails that Poweremail sends in the event history of the partner form, so you later can track all the emails sent to a particular partner.
You can configure inside the Email template, third tab, the "Partner ID to Log Events" field to get the partner id where to store the email event (for example ${object.partner_id.id}).

In a simple installation of OpenERP v6 there isn't an event history in the partner form (in v5 there was).

There are some official modules that add email information to OpenERP v6. For example, mail_gateway adds the history of email events and creates mailgate.message table/model. The CRM module depends and uses mail_gateway.

Now Poweremail v6 can take benefit of mail_gateway if is installed (it is not a required dependency). If mail_gateway is installed and the "Partner ID to Log Events" field is filled in the email template, the information of the emails sent by Poweremail are stored in the partner's email event history. If mail_gateway is not installed, no event is stored.

If you also want to record the link to the object that sends the email, you must to add this object in the 'Administration/Low Level Objects/Requests/Accepted Links in 'Requests' menu (or 'ir.attachment' to record the attachments).

Now, you can be able to review all the sent emails in the partner form and if this email has some attachment, you can get it with few clicks.

New module label

Zikzakmedia have the pleasure to announce the re-factoring and improvement of label module. Now it allows to define the format of the labels in a flexible way to create label reports from any OpenERP object.

The label module allows the creation of PDF label reports from partner, address, product, picking, ... objects. The main features are:

Definition of page sizes, label manufacturers and label formats
Flexible label formats (page size, portrait or landscape, manufacturer, rows, columns, width, height, top margin, left margin, ...)

Initial data for page sizes and label formats (from Avery and Apli manufacturers)
Wizard to print labels. The label format, the printer margins, the font type and size, the first label (row and column) to print on the first page can be set.

The labels are created as Mako Templates with ReportLab tags to define the format (uses the same report engine as OpenERP):

Report style sheets can be defined to be used in the label body
The labels can be printed sorted by three different fields

The label body can contain:

Fixed strings like 'Ref.:'
Mako fields like ${object.name}
Mako control sequence %for ... %endfor for loops
ReportLab tags <super> <barCode> <greek>
ReportLab tags like <blockTable>, <tr>, <td>, ...
<nextFrame/> tag where you want jump to next label.

Note: Only 1, 2, 4 contents can be mixed in the same line.

You can create/manage your own label templates in the Administration/Customization/Labels/Label Templates menu. This module includes two examples of label templates; for partners and for partner addresses (contacts) objects.

The label module can be found in addons-extra repository. It has been tested in version 5.0, but it could work in v. 6.0 with non or minor changes. You must install the Mako python library (apt-get install python-mako), like in PowerEmail module (part of the code for the design of label templates has been taken from it, thanks to Sharoon Thomas from Open Labs).
